Aga shocks the world!
FROM THE BIGGEST OUTSIDER TO A MAJOR CONTENDER!

Top television presenter and boxing champion Agnieszka Rylik has become the first Pole to make a big impact on a top international poker tournament. After finishing runner-up in her opening heat of the world famous PartyPoker Late Night Poker tv tournament, Aga made the semi-finals and finished 5th – meaning she finished 12th in the world in a field that featured all the world’s best multimillionaire players who spend the majority of their time in Las Vegas. This is simply amazing considering it was her first major tournament and that she was a beginner. Everybody predicts she has a big future in the game. Aga learned poker very recently, a game which they say takes minutes to learn and a lifetime to master and had lessons with world famous poker ambassador Mike Sexton in Las Vegas. At the start of the tournament bookmakers www.partybets.com rated her as a 100/1 (101) chance the biggest outsider, and she wasn’t expected to do very well in a field that featured the world's best players who have won tens of millions of dollars between them.  One player sat near Aga in the semi-final was “The Flying Dutchman” Marcel Luske from Hollland who is instantly recognizable around the world. Aga's stunning finish is the best performance ever by a Pole in poker. The tournament will be broadcast on major broadcaster Channel 4 in the UK to millions of people and will be shown on television channels around the world so hundreds of millions will see Aga making Poland proud.

Aga missed out on a share of $325,000 but has already been invited by online poker room PartyPoker to play in other world class tournaments because of her huge potential.

A PartyPoker spokesman said: “Aga is the brightest poker prospect we have ever seen come out of Poland and she did so well to get that far. Poker is growing in Poland and if Aga is an example we could soon see other Poles on the biggest stage. Aga was actually leading the semi-final at one point which is amazing!”

Aga said:  “This was a brilliant experience but I really didn’t get any good cards in the semi-final. I look forward to playing more poker in the near future. The game is a huge amount about focus and the professionals certainly didn’t intimidate me!”
