04.01.2009. Irish Poker Championship 2009 is going to the final stage. Unfortunately, Agnieszka ended her play in the first day. She was set up to play at the TV table, which meant prestige, but also a handful of very tough players.
"Lady Tyson" was playing together with Kenny James, Veronique Gourdon, Neill Channing, Krzysztof Głuszko, Paul Marrow, Jaye Renehan and the defending champion Jude Ainsworth. Aga was eliminated when she was dealt pocket aces. It looked promising, however Krzysztof Głuszko won the hand with a set of queens. 255 players entered the tournament; Agnieszka took 228th place.
Interestingly, several top pros ended up very quickly. Just take a look at this line-up:
