AGA LOOKS FOR KNOCKOUT SUCCESS IN LONDON
23.01.2009. Aga Rylik has her eyes firmly set on success at the upcoming PartyPoker.com European Open V. The famous 72 runner $7,000 buy-in event takes place in London from the 6-13 February 2009 andPoland’s poker princess is in it to win it. "I felt good at my recent trip to the PartyPoker.com tournament in Ireland. The European Open is a six seat format. I have played a lot of these now and feel very confident. Six seat games are also amongst the most popular online so I have been getting lots of practice in on the site."

 

Nobody in the field will scare Aga, who has locked horns with the worlds finest in tournaments around the world. She recently again met the person who taught her to play poker, the legendary Mike Sexton, and they talked through new strategies.

One player Aga has to look out for at the PartyPoker.com European Open V is Annette Obrestad. The Norwegian star won £1 million and the first ever World Series of Poker event in Europe at the age of 18. Others who will be taking part include PartyPoker.com Premier League III stars Roland de Wolfe and Juha Helppi plus Poker Million finalists Ciaran O’Leary, Eoghan O’Dea and Liam Flood. Frazer and Flood are both former champions and are always highly fancied to make waves in this format.

The Matchroom Sport organized tournament features 12 six seat heats and two six seat turbo runner-up heats. There will be two seven seat semi finals and one six seat final. The top three players in each of the semi-finals take their chip stacks through to the final. The total prize pool is $504,000 with first place scooping $200,000. Coverage of the event will be first broadcast on Five in the UK and then distributed internationally. Coverage of the PartyPoker.com European Open is amongst the best distributed in the world and commentary will be led by the one and only Jesse May.
